Survey is fixed - information regarding your pledge

I'm glad to announce that the problems that we had with survey have been fixed!

IMPORTANT

What you want to do is head over to our survey and check your pledge, and check your rewards:

Make sure you have selected the rewards that you want to receive, picked the styles you prefer, and adjust any additional add-ons.

Please note - all prices are in HKD (Hong Kong dollars). If you're not sure what's that in your local currency, you can always use a currency rate exchange website like xe.com:

Just select your local currency, and enter the appropriate amount :)

LONG VERSION

Okay, I want to explain what happened here.

During our Kickstarter campaign we've been collecting the funds in HKD (Hong Kong dollars). Not because we wanted to, but because we needed to, as our company is officially registered in Hong Kong.

However, after the campaign, we noticed that vast majority of backers are from United States. So we thought it would be a good idea to change the currency in BackerKit to US dollars.

However that caused some problems...

The pledges were imported to BackerKit as numbers, not as currencies. So if you have pledged HK $1,594 for automatic watch (which is ±$204 USD), it showed up as you would have pledged $1,594 US dollars.

And that caused a lot of confusion. We were getting emails from backers asking why we want to charge them $2,000 US dollars for Eagle, when they have pledged only $150 US dollars.

So, we reverted everything, and we decided to keep Hong Kong dollars in our BackerKit survey, and Pre-Order page as well :)

Once again - if you're not sure what's that in your local currency - make sure you convert it here:

Just select your local currency, and enter the amount you want to convert.

Survey currency problems

Attention backers - we have encountered some technical errors with the survey, and we're working with BackerKit team to resolve it as soon as possible.

We noticed that majority of our backers are from USA, so we decided to switch the currency to USD from HKD (our original currency that we used in Kickstarter) for our pre-orders, and also for any additional add-ons that you may take while filling out the survey.

However, when we did that, it caused a small technical error, because the survey turned the pledges from HKD to USD, but the numeric amount remained the same (for example HK $1000 got converted to USD $1000).

We're working now to fix this issue as soon as possible, and we will post another update once it's resolved :)

For now, if you haven't completed your survey - don't do it just yet. You will have plenty of time, but give a few days to get it fixed.

If you ALREADY HAVE filled out your survey - you don't have to do anything, we will take care of it :)

We will be informing you what's happening over the next few days.

It will have no impact on your pledges, because those are already locked in, and the worst case scenario what may happen - we will just have to re-send the survey, where you will need to select the style that you prefer, and add any additional add-ons that you will want.

TL;DR

• We have a little issue with the currency on the campaign and we're working with BackerKit to resolve
• For the time being, hold off completing your survey if you haven't already. If you have completed it, no worries — we'll find a solution.

It's time to select your watch style!

The Survey is Ready!

Hey!

This is the moment that all of you have been waiting for so long! It's finally the moment to select the watch style you prefer!

We will send you a survey to the email address that you have specified in your Kickstarter profile (your Kickstarter login name).

We have collaborated with BackerKit to deliver the easiest way for you to pick the watch that you like, and grab any additional goodies that you may have missed during the Kickstarter.

I wanted to briefly discuss a few important points with you.

1) The original pledges in our Kickstarter campaign were collected in HKD (Hong Kong dollars). However, because vast majority of backers are from United States, we decided to use US dollars in BackerKit.

IMPORTANT: Your pledge will look SIGNIFICANTLY higher in BackerKit. For example a pledge of HK $1,593 (a pledge for the automatic watch), is actually $199 USD. But the BackerKit will show it as USD $1,593.

Don't worry - that will have no impact how you got billed.

All addons are in USD, and you pay for what you see :) If you are not sure how your local currency compares to USD you can check out at http://www.xe.com/

2) If you have pledged for quartz watch, but you would like to get automatic watch instead, we have added a special add-on that is called "Upgrade Quartz to AUTOMATIC" for USD $50 you will be able to upgrade your quartz watch pledge, and receive an automatic watch.

3) You will be able to get any additional items that you may have missed during the Kickstater campaign - waterproof watch carrying boxes, handcrafted leather watch rolls, watch tools, additional straps or different kind of the watch!

4) If you want to get additional Eagle watches - you will receive a $10 discount for both quartz and automatic watch.

Worldwide Friendly Project

We have some really exciting news!

We were able to secure a great deal, making the Eagle a Worldwide Friendly Project! What does this mean?

It doesn't matter where you're located in the world - USA or Madagascar, the pledge that you are submitting is the final payment. We will make sure that there won't be any additional customs charges, taxes, import duties, fees or anything else.

On the campaign page we've said "No insane price tag. No middlemen. Just a class act.", well we can add "no hidden fees" to that list! :)
